Best Moment Award

We’ve reached the last of the awards posts for today! At least I think we have. If I’ve missed any, I sincerely apologize. I’ve done my best to try and keep track, but this Momma is a scatterbrain who always loses her keys and her sanity, so it’s entirely possible that I’ve lost track of these as well.

I’m eternaly grateful to have received the Best Moment award from Cupcake n’ Sunshine. Her blog is truly inspiring and full of posts about how to empower yourself, and recognizing people who have stood up against adversity to overcome. She also tells stories with photos and poetry, which I adore. She’s honestly an amazing read, and I really hope you will head on over and give her the followers she deserves.

Oh for the love of…. seven more random things? How am I going to have anything left to blog about if I keep baring it all in awards! Well, here goes folks!

1) I used to dance ballet, jazz, modern and tap.

2) I’m awful at video games, except for Wii Bowling.

3) I love camping, especially eating campfire meals. I make a tasty cake inside of a hollowed out orange over a campfire. That’s right. I might not be a domesticated goddess, but if you tell me I’ll be in the woods for a couple of days and I can prepare, we will eat well!

4) I’m naturally a lazy person, and have to force myself to get up and do things every day. Once I’m going though, I love being busy and social.

5) Before I had my sweet L, I could easily sleep until noon every day, and needed an alarm clock to wake up if I had to be anywhere at a specific time. Now that L is here, if she sleeps past 8am, I am usually the one awake wondering why she isn’t up yet.

6) While traveling, I always found myself feeling peaceful inside Buddhist temples. I’m not sure why. Maybe it was the incense or the fact the most of the temples I visited were up mountains, surrounded by trees and wildlife. I just always felt calm there.

7) I won the English subject award at my middle school for proficiency in the language, yet I still to this day question my actual ability to write well.

Finally the last step. Passing this award along. I hope you will all accept your nomination. 🙂

Th-th-th-That’s all Folks! (Said A-la Porky Pig). I’m done for a bit. Time for me to focus on my own posts for a while. 🙂

The Versatile Blogger Award (x2!)

Holy cow. Another award! I’m so incredibly appreciative of these nominations, though part of me secretly wishes these acceptance posts would write themselves. 🙂
I was nominated for this award twice, by two lovely bloggers. When you are nominated by people whose writing you sincerely enjoy reading and look up to, it makes the award so much more meaningful, which is why I genuinely hope you will all head on over to check out Mummy Flying Solo and BriAnne Huwe. They have some seriously great stuff to offer!

So for this one, I have to think of yet ANOTHER 7 interesting things about me. I’m going to run out of interesting things if you guys keep this up lol.
1) I have my open water diver certification from Koh Tao in Thailand. It was the bravest thing I’ve ever done, and I miss diving immensely.

2) I much prefer yellow gold to white gold, which I believe puts me in a minority in this day and age.

3) I won’t eat lobster. Partly because I don’t enjoy the taste. Mostly because when I was younger we had about 10-15 lobsters at my Grandparents house. I named one Bob. They cooked him, then asked me to eat him. I was traumatized.

4) When I was in grade primary, I fell off the monkey bars at school while trying to copy the 6th graders and skip a bar as I went across. I broke my elbow quite severely, broke my wrist and had nerve damage to my thumb and first two fingers. I required an extensive surgery with a screw to put my elbow back together, was in hospital for three weeks in traction, had a cast for a further three weeks, and then a sling for three weeks after that. I didn’t cry at all until I heard a teacher say they should call an ambulance. At the age of 6, an ambulance was meant for someone who was going to die, in my opinion.

5) I’ve had meniscal surgery on my left knee twice.

6) I feel fortunate with just how quickly C and I were able to conceive L.

7) When I was at the Great Wall, I had someone ask if they could take their photo with me, as I was such a “beautiful Chinese woman”. I’m not Chinese. I actually don’t have any Asian heritage. She thought I was lying to her when I told her I wasn’t. She took her photo with me anyhow (and I with her, to remember that moment).

And now to pass this award along! I hope you will all find the time to accept this award, but if not, just know that I truly do enjoy reading updated posts from all of you! 🙂

How Not to Kill Your Parents

Thanks again to everyone who thinks my blog has something to offer. It means the world to me.
I love to write, but sometimes wonder if I’m actually going anywhere with this, so having this affirmation really does help me get through my self-doubts.

Super Sweet Blog Award! (x3!)

It’s Sunday. As I don’t have too much planned for today, I thought it would be a good time to try and catch up on some of the amazing blog award nominations I’ve been given as of late. You guys are too much, and I’m forever grateful to have fallen into a readership that is so supportive, positive, and encouraging. It makes me really feel at home here. You guys are just the sweetest!

Speaking of “sweet”, I’ve been nominated to receive the Super Sweet Blog award from three different Super Sweet Bloggers! I really hope if you have the time, you will go over and check out their blogs. These awards always seem to mean much more when they come from bloggers that you also look up to. So please, go check out Working Mother Assistant, Grow, Glow, Go!: Adventures in Homemaking and Parenting, and last but certainly not least, Winding Road.

I'm drooling just looking at this blog award!

I’m drooling just looking at this blog award!

Now for the accepting part. Of course, it comes with rules and homework (which is not so sweet), but I’m finally doing it. So sorry for making some of you wait so long. It doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it, I’m simply busy and lazy. 😉

At least the questions are right up my alley. You all know I love me some sweetness (aka Chocolate!).

1. Cookies or Cake?

Why choose only one? I want it all! If I had to choose though, I’d go with cookies. I could seriously sit and eat an entire freshly baked dozen all to myself. When I was breastfeeding, I wanted cookies all day every day. It was bad!

2. Chocolate or Vanilla?

What a silly, silly question. Do I even really need to answer it? CHOCOLATE!!!

3. Favorite Sweet Treat?

Toblerones and Charleston Chews. I also really like Ice Cream. And Cake. No wonder I’m the size I am lol.

4. When Do You Crave Sweet Things The Most?

Mid-afternoon and late at night.

5. Sweet Nick Name?

My C calls me his “Jellybean”, which I kind of adore. For this reason, I’m thinking of having little glass jars of Jellybeans at our wedding (if possible in our wedding colours – and probably Jelly Bellys over Jellybeans, since they just taste better).

And finally, my nominations. I hope that you guys all get to see this post, because I honestly don’t know if I’ll have the time to search up everyone and post – too many awards to post about today – for shame! 🙂

My Super Sweeties are:

Chasing a Daredevil and Twins

The Adventures of Fanny P

The Modern Man of the Cloth

The Fascinations of a Vanilla Housewife

The Do-Gooder Mama

Pink Butterflies

My Road to Fertility

I hope this award doesn’t make you crave a cupcake as much as I did.
Thanks again to all of the bloggers who nominated me. It’s too much, really. My appreciation never ceases.

Can we say Geektastic? I think I had a nerdgasm.

***Updated as someone kindly pointed out to me that my links were improperly done. They should be working better now. 🙂

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I take pride in my geekery. I have no shame in it at all, and quite frankly feel like when I’m with my fellow geeks, I’m with “my people”. That is where I fit in. I love the references, the jokes, all of it.

So imagine the nerdgasm I had when I was nominated as one of the FIRST EVER RECIPIENTS of the Modern Man of the Cloth Geekery Awards!  (Seriously, follow this link. It’s great!) I tried really hard not to spit out my morning juice as I grinned, but I failed and had some pitifully dribble down my chin. But I just don’t care, because I am now “The Joker”!

"All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day. You had a bad day once. Am I right? You had a bad day and everything changed."

“All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That’s how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day. You had a bad day once. Am I right? You had a bad day and everything changed.”

I am going to quote directly from his post, because I don’t want to do a disservice to his creativity.  Anything you see quoted is sourced directly from his post, which you can find in the link above. “The Joker – Your humour is infectious, and maybe even a little dark. Your posts have made me laugh out loud almost every time. I would like to give this award to Jennifer of https://howtoruinatoddlersday.wordpress.com/

Here’s the best part – there are more nerdtastic awards that I now get to give to other people.

Strap in and get ready folks, we’re in for a wild one!

1. The Optimus Prime Award – “Your blog is so inspiring I just want to ‘transform, roll out’ and follow you”. I would like to give this award to Atlantamomofthree.

2) The Philip J Fry Award – Seeing the gorgeous jewelry you post every day makes me want to say “Shut up and take my money!”. I would like to give this award to We’re all mad here…

3) The Gandalf the Gray Award – “When you make a point your arguments are so thought out and so persuasive no counter argument can stand.” I would like to give this award to Momma needs coffee.

Galdalf the Gray award

4) The This is Sparta Award – “Everything you say is powerful and strong. Agree or disagree I find your passion and convictions so inspiring.” I would like to give this award to Mummy Flying Solo.

This is Sparta Award

5) The Joker Award – To a person after my own heart. “Your humour is infectious, and maybe even a little dark. Your posts have made me laugh out loud almost every time.” I would like to give this award to Mentalmom02’s blog.

The Joker Award

Now for the rules, as established by the Man of the Modern Cloth himself:

  1. Like I tell my children you should always say thank you
  2. Please link back to the post that gave you your award
  3. If you won any of these awards you can pass along any of these made up, but still real, awards to someone else. Or can create your own awards to tell someone how awesome you think they are.
  4. Tell us 58 random things about you and 41 things that that make you interesting**

** Not a real rule.

This might be the best award I have ever received, so I hope that you will all accept yours and pass them along. Remember to link back to this post, and it would be great to link back to the creator’s post as well.

Happy Sunday!

Holy crap, the Liebster Award (x3)!

If you ever wanted to get to know me better, this is the blog post for you!

I don’t mean to brag or anything, but I got another award. Not just any award. It’s the Liebster award!

Ok, that’s a lie, I totally meant to brag, but only because these awards lift my heart more than you can know. It means that not only are people reading what I write, but that they don’t hate what they read. That’s really all a girl can ask for. I don’t know if this award actually is more coveted than any others out there, but for some reason it was by me, so to say my spirits are lifted as I write this would be an understatement.

But you’ve not only lifted my heart, you tossed it straight into the clouds. You didn’t just nominate me for it once. I was nominated three times for this award! Holy crap! This means a couple of things. First of all, there’s a lot of homework for me to do. Second, that means a lot of reading for you guys because I have a lot of questions that I have to answer. And third, I have three lovely bloggers to thank for the nominations (or maybe I should slap them – they’ve given me a lot of work to do!) In all seriousness, the bloggers who nominated me are three of my favourite, which means it is hard to not be able to nominate them right back. Please if you have the time, head on over to check out Mummy Flying Solo, Momma Needs Coffee, and Naptime Thoughts. They really are great!

So I hope you all enjoy reading my answers and getting to know me, because by the time I’m done answering all of these questions, I won’t have much of my soul left to bare.

Let’s start with the first blogger who nominated me – Mummy Flying Solo:

1. Winter or summer?

I want to say Summer, because I love being outdoors in the sun, but I hate the humidity that comes along with it. I can’t stand being sweaty! So I’m going to go with Winter on this one. You can always put on more layers if you’re cold, but there’s only so many you can strip off in the heat before you are reported for public indecency.

2. What is your specialty meal? The one you cook to impress.

Hmm. Tough question! I would have to say Dak Galbi – it’s a Korean dish that has chicken, chewy rice cakes, cabbage, sesame leaves, carrots, sweet potato, etc. all cooked together on a flat grill with spicy red pepper paste. It’s so good. I’m drooling thinking about it!

3. Do you clean your teeth twice per day AND floss?

Yes….. no seriously….. I floss every day….. at least that’s what I tell my dentist. Somehow he never believes me…

4. Have you ever tried meditation?

Not in the official way, no. It is something I’d be interested in learning about, but not from the type of person who is so serious about it that they might not “get” me not being that way.

5. What do you read to keep your brain active?

I love to read – especially the classics. I do geek out with the Potter’s every now and then, and read three online newspapers every day.

6. What is your favourite book of all time?

Oh man. I really really don’t know if I could pick just one. That’s such a hard question for me. I’m skipping this one, sorry Mummy.

7. If you could be stuck in a lift with someone who would it be?

Oh man, I dunno. I’m tempted to say my fiance, as we could use some alone time lol. But if I had to pick someone other than him, I’d probably say Hugh Jackman…only if he were done up as Wolverine. Reowr!

8. Favourite new song released this year?

Ohhhhh. Another hard one, simply because I mostly listen to a bunch of oldies and classics. But I’m kind of into Serena Ryder, particularly “What I wouldn’t do”. It’s one of those catchy ones that won’t get out of my head.

9. Best ever holiday?

Now here in Canada, we say holiday to mean Christmas, or Valentine’s Day. But I’m almost certain that in Australia, you refer to a holiday as what we call a vacation? Just to be sure I’ll answer both.
My favourite holiday is Halloween. I love the costumes, seeing the kids all dressed up, the scary movies, etc. Love it! My favourite vacation was to Thailand, where I got my open water diver certification, ate lots of street food, lived out of a backpack and got loads of cheap dental work done.

10. The gift you enjoyed giving the most.

Oh boy. I’m not too into the material things so brace yourself for a cheesy answer. Being able to give my fiance a daughter, and my mother a granddaughter. CHEEESE!

11. Do you tell your kids about Santa Claus (or will you if you don’t yet have kids)?

This is a debate in our home. I want her to know the joy that Santa can bring, but my fiance doesn’t like the idea of lying to her. We shall see who wins, but I’m pretty sure I will.

Ok, onto my second nominator, Momma needs coffee:

1. What is your favorite breakfast food?

I love a good fully stuffed omelette. My favourite breakfast place is Cora’s, and I usually get a Bobby Botton, which is an omelette, stuffed in a crepe. Drooool!

2. Name one place you would most love to travel.

Right now, the only place I want to go is Jamaica for our wedding! But I’d also love to head back to Korea some day to see some friends that I miss dearly.

3. Which of the wonders of the world would you most like to see?

From what I understand, the only “original” wonder of the ancient 7 wonders still standing is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Of the “new” 7 wonders of the world, I’ve already been to the Great Wall of China, so next on my list would probably be Petra, Jordan. Of the natural wonders, I’d love to dive on the Great Barrier Reef.

4. If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 things, what would you bring?

My man, my daughter, and a fully staffed yacht to get me off the island. 😉

5. What wild animal do you wish you could have as a pet?

I’d love a monkey!

6. How many pets do you have?

None at the moment. 😦

7. What is your dream job?

I’d LOVE to be a travel writer. To be able to see the world, write about it, and be paid to do it…nothing could equal that, except maybe a travel show host.

8. Coffee or tea?

Coffee, coffee, coffee!!!

9. Favorite TV show?

Oh no, I’m about to out myself as a closet smut TV watcher! I like wedding shows (dress ones especially), and my (now not-so) secret guilty pleasure is Keeping up with the Kardashians. I accept I may lose followers for admitting that.

10. What is your guilty pleasure?

Besides the Kardashians? Chocolate and fast-food. Don’t tell anyone.

11. What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?

Pay off all that is left of my stupid student-loan, and buy a house for us to live in. I’m sick of my crummy apartment!

Finally, the last of my three lovely nominators, Naptime Thoughts had this to ask:

1.What’s your favorite food?

Anything Korean for sure, mostly for nostalgia purposes. My fiance also makes a really amazing authentic carbonara with roasted red peppers on top.

2. If you were in a crappy movie theater, and nobody was watching, would you sneak into a second show? (You don’t have any kids with you).

I’m afraid I’m too much of a goody-two-shoes to do that. I’d be totally afraid of getting caught haha.

3. Do you sing in the car?

Yes, yes I do. But 9 times out of 10 when I start singing my fiance changes the radio station. He says it isn’t on purpose, but I don’t believe him.

4. Can you still sing at least one jingle from a commercial when you were little? If so, which one?

Oh yes. The log driver’s waltz. A classic Canadian commercial. If you haven’t heard of it, google will be your friend!

5. Do you have a hobby? What is it?

Right now, blogging is my hobby. I’d really love to get back into a dance class or two though.

6. Do you pick your nose in the car? If you have a nose ring, you get a pass.

Ahahahahaha woops. I’ve done this before. No pass for me! Sometimes I forget others can see me when I’m in my car.

7. Did you own laserdiscs?

Don’t know what this is, so I’m going to say no.

8. Do you currently have pets? What kind?

Not anymore. We did have a cat, but after 18 months of trying to help kitty adjust to the new baby she just wasn’t having it and was really unhappy. We re-homed her with a lovely couple, and she’s a much happier kitty now. I still get updates from them!

9. New York or Chicago pizza?

New York!

10. What is a ping?

I wish I knew how to answer this for you. I think it is like a link back to your blog post, but I might be way off.

11. When I got this email that I was nominated for this award, how come I had to hear one?

I think that ping was to let you know you were tagged in the post? Again, I might be wrong lol.

Pfewf! If you’re still with me, well done you! You get some free chocolate on me. Okay, I’m lying again. I don’t share my chocolate.

So now I have to list 11 random facts about myself. This homework is taking way too much time. Here we go:

1) I have three tattoos, all of which have meaning to me.

2) Ever since I had my kid, my hair grows like a weed. I can’t afford to keep up with the amount of haircuts I now need.

3) I am getting married in 2015 in Jamaica!

4) I can’t stand eating chicken wings, because when the bones/gristle hit my teeth I want to gag.

5) I love that long dresses are “in” right now. I wear them to work a lot, just so I don’t have to shave my legs more frequently.

6) I’m an okay cook (my fiance is better), but I’m a pretty good baker!

7) I’ve travelled to the following countries: Canada, USA, Dominican Republic, Scotland, Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand.

8) I am from the East Coast of Canada, and we’re known for our seafood. I hate most of it.

9) Strangers still ask me if I’m pregnant. I want to throat punch them. Then I eat chocolate. I don’t see the situation rectifying itself anytime soon.

10) I seriously considered becoming a doula.

11) I want to learn to golf and play guitar, but I haven’t found anyone patient enough to teach me.

FINALLY THE LAST STEP – MY NOMINATIONS! If you’ve lasted this long, props to you. I would have probably given up long ago. Here are my 11 nominees for the Liebster award, all of which are awesome!

Mother Bleeper

Magical Chaos

So Many Right Ways

The Fortunate Artist

How NOT to Kill Your Parents

Lessons from my daughter

Winding Road

Chasing a Daredevil and Twins

mentalmom02’s blog

Ok. Finally, for those of you who I nominated, should you choose to accept this award, this is what I’d like you to answer:

1) Were you named after anyone?

2) If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?

3) If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

4)  Do you have a special, hidden talent?

5) If you had to pick one, would you a) Bungee jump, b) Skydive, c) Scuba Dive

6) If you were invisible, where would you go?

7) Who do you most admire, and why?

8) So you ate this apple, then find out after the fact that it was radioactive. You’re a superhero now! Quick, what’s your name and your super power?

9) How do you want to be remembered?

10) What does your lastest text message from someone else say? (You don’t have to name who it is from)

11) If you put on the Sorting Hat, would you be Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw? Explain your answer. If you don’t get the question, shame on you.

That’s it! I’m done! Now I’m going to go have some coffee. That’s a lie. I’m going to have a coffee crisp. (For those of you who are unaware, it’s a chocolate bar and it is delicious).

Wonderful Team Membership Award

I’m FINALLY getting around to saying a huge thank you to scottishmomus for nominating me for this lovely award! She’s a lovely woman, who writes beautiful poetic posts, and I truly enjoy reading them – though I secretly don’t know whether to thank her, or smack her for assigning me the homework that goes along with it. 😉

In all seriousness, if you love creative writing, and illustrative descriptions, you’ll love her posts. Check her out! http://scottishmomus.wordpress.com/

As much as I am humbled, grateful, and shocked by award nominations (which in turn means people are actually reading my blog), I would be lying if I said that it didn’t inflate my ego a little bit. I mean hey, who doesn’t like acknowledgement? It still seems so crazy to me that I’ve been at this less than a month, and have over 100 followers. Either I’m doing alright at this, or you’re all a little nuts! 😉

So I’m left with homework, which include forwarding on this nomination to other bloggers who I enjoy reading. (Sorry to those I nominate – I’m passing along the homework to you! hehe).

I find it so hard to think of only a small amount of blogs. I hate feeling like I exclude people whose blogs I really enjoy reading. The picking and choosing is so difficult! I hope you enjoy my choices, and get a few good reads out of it! 🙂

There you have it!
I hope I’ve followed the homework correctly, because while I may look like I know what I’m doing, it’s all a facade.

WordPress Family Award.

Another award? Really? I hope people don’t soon clue in to the fact that I’m an imposter. An imposter who pretends she knows what she’s doing and what she’s talking about, but really has no sweet clue.

I started this blog as a way to get back into writing. Just a small little place to vent, share my inflated opinions, and have a laugh. I never imagined that anyone (let alone so many!) would actually read it or follow it. But in the less than 4 weeks I’ve been doing this, I already have made what I would call, for less of better terminology, friends. Little blogging friends/family. Strange how this works. How your words can help you form connections with people.

Which is why this award means a lot. The lovely Miss Fanny P, the namesake of The Adventures of Fanny P ( http://missfannyp.wordpress.com/ ) nominated me for this award. She’s honest, true, and spills her heart about things we can all relate to – family, and the love of our kids. Please go check out her blog. I’ve enjoyed following her the short time I’ve been a part of this community.

Though I must say, it alludes me as to why I was nominated. She so kindheartedly explained that she nominated people who left comments on a certain post that left her feeling warm, supported, and loved. A kind comment, I did leave. But should we not all be kind to one another all the time? While I certainly appreciate (and accept) the nomination, I would hope that such kindness is the norm and doesn’t require recognition.

So to pass this one along. The award speaks of family, and I can think of two blogs in particular that are all about family – he ups and downs, the challenges, the hilarity, etc. I hope that these two bloggers will accept, and can’t wait to keep reading all about them.

http://lynncollins10.wordpress.com/  – This lady is honest to a fault, just like me, about all aspects of her life. She’s got opinions, she’s got challenges, she’s got a real life that is nice to read about.

http://modernmanofthecloth.com/  – From what I’ve read so far, super Dad would be an understatement. His topics are varied, and wonderful. Give him a peek!

Thanks so much again.
I have to figure out what to do with these things. Where do you guys put these awards? I’m such a newbie, I never put thought into this.

OMFG I got an award?!

A blog award? I’m so new to this I didn’t even know they existed! But holy smokes, someone nominated me for one, and I nearly spat out my morning juice when I read it. I mean I’ve only been at this for three weeks – I still don’t know all the ins and outs of how to do this stuff, but apparently, some people are actually reading what I write, which is fricken awesome!

A huge amazing thanks to the super sweet Momma at http://mummyflyingsolo.com/ – You have no idea how you made my day. Here I am reading your posts thinking, wow she’s really got the hang of this, and then you go and think I actually know what I’m doing lol. At least now I know, that I’m faking it alright enough. Go check out her blog – she rocks!

So apparently, after the research I’ve done (yes, I had to do research about this award because like I said, I’m a total blog newbie), accepting this blog award comes with some rules. I mean I could NOT accept it, but who am I kidding, I like the attention so I’m totally going to accept it haha. The rules are:

1. Add the “One Lovely Blog Award” image to your post
2. Share seven random things about you
3. Pass the award on to seven nominees
4. Thank the person who nominated you
5. Inform the nominees by posting on their blogs

Ok, so here goes. Seven random things about me. Uggh where do I begin.

1) I’m a world traveler at heart. I lived in Korea for two years, and traveled all through Asia while I was there. I miss the cultural diversity and the food every day. I need to win the lottery so I can make traveling more of a priority again.

2) I’m addicted to iced lattes. It’s actually really bad. I wish there wasn’t a Tim Horton’s on every damn corner where I live. I can’t resist, and I’m drinking too many calories every day.

3) My retirement plan is to win the lottery (Geez, I think I really need a winning ticket). For that plan to work, I’d probably have to buy lottery tickets on the regular. (I really should look into a more solid plan than that, but life gets busy, and I forget).

4) I feed my kid better than I feed myself. She gets good food, I get what she doesn’t eat, or whatever is on the way home (drive-thru, delivery, pre-made stuff at the grocery store, a PB&J). I should take better care of myself than I do.

5) I am not a good cook. I mean I have my 4 or 5 fall back meals that I can cook really well, but I’m not creative in the kitchen. My fiance, on the other hand, is the master chef in our house. Thank God for that.

6) I put on a tough, don’t mess with me face. I have no problem standing up for myself when the person isn’t close to me. But if it’s someone really close to me that I care about a lot, I become very emotional and get hurt easily.

7) I’m not a crafty person in general, but I make a wicked cool professional looking diaper cake! One little girl thought it was so realistic looking, she kept asking her Mom when she could eat a piece of cake!

And to pass it along to 7 nominees:

1) Chasing a Daredevil and Twins – Her little drawings say more than words and make my day! http://chasingadaredevilandtwins.wordpress.com/

2) Doodlemum – Again with the drawings. More talented than I ever could be. http://doodlemum.com/

3) Embracing the Insanity – An honest Mama just like me! http://embracingtheinsanity.wordpress.com/
